2:00 PM  –  4:00 PM

Have you ever wondered how a Museum decides what to accept into its collection? Every year Cape Fear Museum collects historical artifacts and images to better tell our regions stories. Over the last two years we’ve collected hundreds of artifacts, including a 1940s tanning lamp, a Vietnam soldier’s medals, and local teacher and politician Lethia Hankins’ pantsuit. Join Historian Jan Davidson and Curator Barbara Rowe to hear about the ways our collections help tell our rich and diverse stories. Then, get an up-close look at some of our newest artifacts behind-the-scenes. Space is limited.
